DEHN, the specialist for lightning and surge protection and safety equipment, has been doing business in Northern Europe for over thirty years. Having established its own companies in Denmark and Sweden, the group is now expanding its business opportunities in Northern Europe by founding a new subsidiary in Norway.
Norway is one of the most prosperous countries in the world with the second highest standard of living after Iceland. The Norwegian economy is strongly influenced by the oil and gas industry, as well as extensive investments in renewable energies. This combination perfectly matches the strategic segment orientation at DEHN and opens a wide range of opportunities for the company.
Consequently, DEHN NORGE was established in Oslo in September. With this step, the company also aims to provide customers in Norway with a comprehensive portfolio which includes local consulting expertise and specialist training. Fredrik Hem-Andersen, who has over 20 years of experience in product management and sales in the Norwegian electrical industry, took up his position as Managing Director of the new subsidiary on 1 October 2024. “With his in-depth knowledge of the market and industry, Fredrik Hem-Andersen will play a crucial role in driving forward our expansion in Northern Europe,” says Boris Wolff, CSO DEHN SE.
Mr Hem-Andersen is also the chairman of the standardisation committee for lightning and surge protection at the Norwegian Electrotechnical Committee (NEK).
